Breastfeeding during pregnancy

Being pregnant does not mean you should stop breastfeeding your child. Long ago doctors believed it actually takes nutrients from the baby inside you, but this is not the case. Even today, we have people who believe this and they will discuss with you all the time. Only you can decide to stop breastfeeding your toddler or not. Do not let others decide for you.

The reason to stop
Some reasons you might want to stop breastfeeding mothers may be if you are feeling constantly drained of energy. Or maybe your child has started to bite. Sometimes your milk will dry, this is how your body tells you he has had enough and rest. Mastitis can play a major role to make you stop and immediately. Mastitis is an infection in the chest when he can not fully and become engorged.

Stopping or weaning
If you intend to stop because you are pregnant, make sure it is correct for the reasons. If your child has reached a certain age, it may be better. But never just pull away from them. Your child may wonder why it was removed. Curious to know if they had done something or become discouraged about the new baby. Some children decide to wean, but a great help to you and you will not feel guilty. You can choose to do it cold turkey or slowly weaned / off. Cold turkey can have bad results. Try to limit / time to eat a certain number of hours and gradually as time passes away. Your child will quickly stop / themselves and it would not be a traumatic event.

Continue to feed
If you intend to continue breastfeeding while you are pregnant, talk to your doctor about this. All doctors will agree with your decision. Sometimes he / she can see something in your health that you do not. Listen carefully and whether it is a health reason or simply his own beliefs / her. If this is the belief doctors, you can always find an agreement with you. Being pregnant is hard enough at times, knowing you have someone in your corner does relieve stress. Do not be surprised if your family and friends want to say something about it and they will probably give you all kinds of tips on how to stop and what they have read. Nicely explain to them that it is your decision and you do what you think is best for your children. Try to find a support group in your area if you have someone to prevent or discuss these issues. Check for La Leche League near you or online that you can participate.

Remember that as you take good care of yourself and your body, you will be able to get nursing mothers during pregnancy.
